Our team at Gibsons are always working hard to bring our customers the best jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and board games. So, we thought it was high time that we introduce you to the people behind the puzzles.
Meet Nicki. Here she is with her two daughters.
What do you do at Gibsons?
I am the Sales Director. It’s my job to look after the lovely team of people who sell our games and puzzles to our retailers. I also enjoy a dabble in product development and stock planning, given half a chance.
What's your favourite Gibsons game? Are there any non-Gibsons games you love?
I’m a bit of a dominoes demon. I have been teaching my teenager to play for money: 5p per spot. She’s getting pretty good!
What’s your favourite puzzle?
I am really loving our new White Logo puzzles. I recently completed ‘See Through Nature’ and thought the colours in it were gorgeous.

How long have you worked at Gibsons?
I have been here for over 15 years, starting out as a part time Sales Manager. It feels like yesterday and a looooong time ago all at once!
(We like to embarrass our colleagues by sharing a photo their early days at Gibsons. Here is Nicki and her uncle (the Gibsons Chairman) Michael from the 2007!)
Favourite Gibsons memory?
Probably when the team sprang a surprise lunch on me to celebrate my 10 year anniversary. I genuinely had no idea!
Tell us a fun fact!
I have been ringing church bells (campanology) since I was 10 years old and my most impressive ‘tower grab’ was Wellington Cathedral. I was visiting my brother who now lives in NZ.
What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not at work?
I love my netball – playing it, watching it – I’m a member of 2 clubs so it keeps me busy and I love the teamwork and social interaction it brings.
