Wow, what a year! 2019 has been our best year yet - we've celebrated our 100th anniversary (many times over!), introduced some amazing new product, won two Gift of the Year awards and worked with some incredible people. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us, from our wonderful retailers, to our warehouse staff and our jigsaw puzzle fans!
We started 2019 off with a bang at Toy and Spring Fair, where we were featured on the BBC News at 6, BBC Surrey radio and awarded two Gift of the Year Awards for our 500 piece Memory Tins and our Christmas Countdown Calendar.
We then went on to celebrate 100 years of Gibsons at the Museum of London on the 15th May and saw the launch of some fantastic new products, including our anniversary edition of L'Attaque and our Little Gibsons preschool range.
In 2019, we sponsored many, many jigsaw festivals which brought local communities together and celebrated our favourite pastime…puzzling. Also in the Summer, eight of the Gibsons team took part in a charity triathlon to raise money for the children's charity, Jigsaw4U. Throughout the year, the Gibsons team have been challenging themselves to do '100 Good Things' to celebrate 100 years of Gibsons. This included abseils, 100 mile bike rides, sponsored walks and giving up snacks in the office for 100 long days!
The Autumn brought with it the much-anticipated launch of I Love Weddings, Mike Jupp's hilarious 1000-piece puzzle. You loved it so much that it sold out instantly! This also coincided with the launch of our brand new website, which we are very proud of.

A lot changed for the Gibsons team too. Two of our lovely employees returned from their maternity leave, we had to bid farewell to our wonderful Ros, who began her retirement in June and we also welcomed two new members to the Gibsons gang!
We were also awarded The Sutton Employer of the Year and accredited as an 'Investor in People', both of which are momentous achievements.
From a business point of view, we've had a mammoth year, with market research company NPD reporting that we are the UK’s No.1 performing adult jigsaw puzzle manufacturer this year based on velocity sales. We have also sold a record number of Christmas Limited Edition jigsaw puzzles this year...we think the brand-new shiny box might have something to do with it's success!
2019 marks 100 years since Gibsons was founded by Harry Percy Gibson in May 1919 and we are thrilled to have ended the year on such a high. We want to thank you again for your support and wish you a very Merry Christmas and the happiest of New Years… roll on 2020!
