Hare & Tortoise
Family game

$28.00

Hare & Tortoise is the legendary board game by renowned games inventor, David Parlett. The first ever winner of the Spiel des Jahres Award in 1979, Hare and Tortoise is a cunningly designed race to the finish in which your fuel (carrots) must practically run out as you hit the finish line. So you must decide…will you raise to the finish or take a slow and steady pace?

The aim is to be the first player to get from Start to Home. At each turn you can move as far forwards as you like provided you can pay for it in units of carrots. The further you move in one turn, the faster the cost of moving accelerates, so the longer you leap, the sooner you run out of carrots! You also must dispose of your lettuce cards throughout the game, making Hare & Tortoise a game of skill and strategy rather than a dice-rolling game of chance.

A great game for the whole family, Hare & Tortoise can be enjoyed by ages 8+ and 2-6 players.
The box contains: 1 gameboard, 1 dice, 6 counters, 6 race cards, 18 lettuce cards and various carrot cards.
