We are proud to announce that they will be sponsoring the Tenth Annual Newmarket Jigsaw Puzzle Festival this week.
The five-day event is taking place this year from the 22nd – 27th June at Turner Hall, Newmarket. We are once again be sponsoring the Eighth Annual British Jigsaw Championship, where competitors from across the world aim to be the first to complete a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle, the design of which is not revealed until the start of the contest.
Entrants to the Championship are welcome in three categories: élite (those who would expect to complete in under 3hrs), pairs and fun. Prize money is available in each category, of £100, £100 and £50 respectively. The entry price includes the competition puzzle, which can be kept by the entrant(s), and also includes entry to the festival.
The Jigsaw Festival entrance is £2 which grants admission to the festival all week. Children are free.
This is the first Newmarket Jigsaw Puzzle Festival since 2019, with the 2020 event cancelled due to coronavirus restrictions. The 2021 festival and championship were postponed by a few days following the announcement of the government’s roadmap to ease lockdown restrictions, hopefully allowing more people to travel for the event.
