I would like to apologise for our stock levels at this time. We appreciate how frustrating it is when you can’t find your chosen puzzle or when stock becomes available and is quickly sold out again.

These are unprecedented times and demand has increased astronomically. Jigsaw puzzles are the perfect hobby during a pandemic. We saw this in April, when our demand increased by 132%. We reacted as quickly as we could to adjust our processes and to ensure we could meet demand. However with the nights getting darker, a second lockdown and Christmas on its way, demand is again outstripping supply.

The good news is we are doubling our efforts to make more jigsaw puzzles. To keep up with demand, we have invested in a brand new puzzle machine which will be able to cut puzzles twice as fast as the older machines. This is a hugely complicated machine that takes a team of experts and many weeks to install. We are still making tweaks, but once the machine is up and running to full capacity, we will have plenty more puzzles available.

Many of you will know that we also supply thousands of retailers from around the world. If you are able to leave the house safely, we urge you to get out and support your independent retailers and local garden centres as they need your purchases now more than ever before. You can find a list of stockists here.

If purchasing online is your only option then we do update our web stocks regularly and highly recommend that you sign up to be notified by email for when your favourites are back in stock. To do this, simply click on your puzzle of choice on the Gibsons website and submit your details where it says ‘email when back in stock.’

Thank you for your patience while we work as hard as we can to get things back to normal. We are a small team, but I give you my word that we are doing our very best to ensure you have a product that can bring you joy during this difficult time.     Thank you for telling us that once the new machine is up and running it can cut puzzles twice as fast.
    IS this the reason why me and my friends are having puzzles with duplicate pieces,missing pieces and joined pieces.
    Quality control seems to be non existant.
    Please sort it out as we dont want to stop buying Gibsons but if forced to due to quality issues we have no choice.

    Have started to do jigsaw puzzles at the start of lockdown. I find that having tried a few different brands Gibson’s come out on top as in my opinion the quality of the card they are printed on is far superior to any other and the pictures also beat any other. Have made my own puzzle board out of an old paste table split into two halves one I kept and the other gave away

    Thank you for the update!
    It can be disappointing to be unable to order, but hey – jigsaws aren’t single use items. I’ ve gone to the cupboard & rediscovered some old favourites. Once completed (& all there) I have passed some on, & put those I love back in the cupboard for next time!
    I am pleased for you that your business is thriving in these tough times, & glad that puzzles are enjoying a revival – with those positive thoughts, what’s a small wait for the next fab puzzle?

    Puzzles are wonderful for lock down entertainment. I live in Canada and during March and April I would drop off a jigsaw on a doorstep and pick ones up to share ……for safety people left them for several hours before bringing them into their houses. We love your puzzles!!…able to purchase them on line …Montreal.

    your puzzles are such wonderful quality although they are difficult to obtain, because of the pandemic, I have still managed to get some from charity shops. It shows the quality of your puzzles they are still in very good condition considering they are second hand. I never get fed up with them. Merry Christmas and keep up the good work.

    Good afternoon , I appreciate how busy you must be, but thought I should advise that the quality of your puzzles has deteriorated. The last two puzzles purchased from you , London Calling ( 1 piece missing) and Castle Combe both had not been cut properly. When I separated the pieces, too much backing came away making the individual piece flimsy. I hope your new cutting machine improves this in future. I will continue to purchase Gibsons Jigsaw Puzzles as they are the best puzzles available.
