To build on our passion for making Gibsons a great place to work, we’ve developed a wellbeing strategy. This ensures that we provide training and development, flexible working and a health and wellness scheme. One of our greatest achievements to date is being awarded an Investors In People accreditation in 2019 for our dedication to realising the potential of our people.
Like many other companies, we all moved to remote working in March 2020 due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. This did not come without its challenges, but we worked as a team to adapt to ensure we are more productive than ever.
We believe in the power of taking a break, so you might find us:
- Having a natter in a virtual coffee morning.
- Relaxing with a Yoga session.
- Taking part in our Buddy Scheme where we all check in with a different teammate each week.
- Joining in with a Gibsons quiz on a Friday evening.
- Recognising that we need someone to talk to. Our Employee Assistance programme means we have access to counselling should we need it.
These are unprecedented times but together we will come out the other side, ready to see where the future takes us.
If there is one thing the pandemic has taught us it is the importance of work/life balance, which is why we will adopt a flexi working approach going forwards. Gone are the days of 9-5 in the office Monday-Friday. We understand this does not work for everyone so being flexible and allowing home working is essential for promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Our office is having a makeover so that when we return, we are in a bright and airy working environment that is inspiring and allows us to come together when we need to.
