Our Purpose
We are Gibsons, a family-run boardgame and jigsaw puzzle company first established in 1919. For over a century, our mission has been to bring people together through the simple pleasure of play. Because we know that in a fast-paced world, moments of connection with the people we love most is what truly matters.

Gibsons was founded by Harry Percy Gibson manufacturing strategy and family games.

Premises was bombed in the Blitz, manufacturing equipment destroyed. Salvaging the ledgers, Harry's son ensured the company survived and became a wholesaler of games.

Third generation Michael Gibson joined the company.

The first Gibsons jigsaw puzzles were released.

Fourth generation Kate Gibson joined the company.

Celebrated our centenary year with a party at the Museum of London on Aldersgate Street where it all began 100 years earlier.

The 'Perfect Puzzle' was born loved by the consumer, better for the planet - smaller boxes, no shrink wrap, biodegradable seals sustainably sourced paper and card.

Became a B Corporation.

Won Small family Business of the Year Award

Puzzles became entirely plastic free.

Won a Kings Award for Enterprise in Sustainability.

It’s an honour to continue the work my great-grandfather began back in 1919. Creating joy and bringing people together with our games and puzzles is a real privilege.
Ensuring Gibsons evolves with the needs of our time has been a huge priority in my tenure as MD and I love seeing everyone at Gibsons come together to make this vision a reality. Receiving our B-Corp certification and Kings Award for Enterprise were fantastic milestones; we are now part of a global community of organisations dedicated to business as a force for good.
We plan to keep moving forward, developing the best puzzles and games on the market while making sure we leave a positive mark on the world. I know I speak for the whole of the Gibsons team when I say thank you to all of our customers, suppliers and partners for being with us on this journey.
We're excited to see what the future holds!
Based at our HQ in Sutton, Surrey, meet the wonderful bunch of people behind the puzzles and games!

I have lived & breathed the company for over 50 years. The best bit is that feeling you get working with a team, who don't have your family involvement, but have that same enthusiasm & commitment.

Queen of the juggle, mum to the office dog and the one with a permanent supply of hand gel.

My happy place is with a hot cup of tea and a bar of Dairy Milk watching a highbrow documentary… oh ok Love Island.

Abacus-botherer extraordinaire, never happier than when playing around with spreadsheets, except perhaps when in the boxing ring or exploring the countryside.

Half-pint sized, hockey playing, competitive nightmare, with a penchant for Harry Potter. If nothing else, you can rely on me for enthusiasm…by the bucket load!

My role is about having the right pieces in the right place at the right time. Elementary!!

Lover of fashion and (loud) music, can usually be found chasing two feral children or drinking an oat matcha latte.

Love traveling, a cheeky G&T and getting hooked on crime series. Nothing beats exploring new places and making memories with my favourite people.

I'm passionate about brand storytelling. In my free time, you'll usually find me exploring restaurants, art exhibitions and gigs in my local area of east London.

Juggling mum who loves music and dancing. Has travelled and fav country is Bali!

Usually found walking the dog and occasionally indulging in a Malibu and Diet Coke!

Gibsons Chief puzzle maker, obsessed with all things baking and bunnies!

Summer, beach days, and music are my happy place. I'm always keen to try new things and never miss a chance to sing along to a good song.

A lover of board games, and far better at watching sport than participating!

A coffee fuelled pretend-adult who has her mind stuck in the clouds.

Qualified board game lover and all around nerd about almost everything. Beetle enthusiast and bird watcher!

A keen runner, who love to travel and eat sushi at any opportunity! I have too many house plants!

Ocean lover who feels most at home in nature, whether by the sea or out walking my dog.

Creative Artworker with a love for design and puzzles. Outside work I’m walking my dog, travelling Europe or cheering on my son at Jiu Jitsu competitions.

Puzzle destroyer extraordinaire!
We create joy and we believe everyone deserves a place in that experience.
As a small business with a strong, close-knit community, we take pride in creating products and a workplace that truly welcome and celebrate difference. Our values, 'In it Together' and 'Always Care', reflect our belief that everyone should feel included, respected, and at home with us. It's our differences, 'our sticky out bits', that provide a richer and more rewarding experience for everyone.
A Place for Everyone
We are committed to building a diverse, fair, and inclusive workplace. Our hiring and people policies are designed to be open and unbiased, with regular reviews to ensure we are doing the right thing.
We take care to consider the needs of all employees, ensuring no one is disadvantaged and that everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Our Culture Club meets regularly to give every team member a voice and a chance to help shape our workplace.
We understand how important it is to feel supported at every stage of life. As proud signatories of the Menopause Workplace Pledge, we are committed to supporting women through their menopause journey with care and understanding.
Our menopause policy helps managers provide thoughtful support, and our regular discussion group creates a safe, open space for conversation, whether you are experiencing menopause, supporting others, or simply wanting to learn more. We also promote wider wellbeing through dedicated sessions for our team.
We recognise that becoming a parent is a life-changing moment. We support our team through this transition with enhanced maternity provision, helping them find a balance that works for them and their families.
We work closely with a wide range of talented puzzle artists and inventors to ensure our puzzles reflect the world around us. Our aim is to offer designs that are uplifting, engaging, and resonate with different interests, life experiences, and perspectives, including those that bring comfort, nostalgia, and joy.
We are passionate about learning and growth. Through initiatives such as the Government Apprenticeship Scheme, we support young people in building their skills and confidence.
”We are committed to building a supportive, friendly environment where everyone feels they belong. By bringing together different perspectives, we spark new ideas, and grow stronger together.”
