THE GAME

Jaques Original Happy Families goes back to the roots of this beloved classic, featuring artwork from the original game which was produced by John Jaques in 1851!

The aim of the game is to collect complete card sets known as families by requesting cards from the other players. A player either receives or gives a card on each turn. The person who collects the most sets wins!

The artwork on the cards will delight players of all ages. It’s from Sir John Tenniel, who would later go on to be the chief cartoonist for Punch.

The game is simple yet truly thrilling and will be loved by young and old. It's no wonder Happy Families has stood the test of time!
