Our team at Gibsons are always working hard to bring our customers the best jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and board games. So, we thought it was high time that we introduce you to the people behind the puzzles.
Meet Amanda. Here is a pic of her enjoying a local festival in her hometown of Leamington Spa
What do you do at Gibsons?
I’m the Head of Business Development at Gibsons. I look after the Business to Consumer side of our business such as our web sales and customer service.
What's your favourite Gibsons game? Are there any non-Gibsons games you love?
I play Snakes and Ladders a lot with my four year old. That last snake always gets me and my daughter always manages to roll all of the sixes!
What’s your favourite puzzle?
I must confess I’m not a natural puzzler or blessed with an abundance of patience but I always enjoy putting in the last piece of any puzzle much to the frustration of my family who spent all those hours putting it together! We’ve got our eye on the London Underground puzzle next.
How long have you worked at Gibsons?
It’ll be 10 years in September! We joke that nobody ever leaves Gibsons - it’s such a nice place to work.
(We thought we would embarrass Amanda by sharing this photo from the 2011 Christmas party - sorry Amanda!)
Favourite Gibsons memory?
I really enjoy going away for our trade shows. The Gibsons gang have an uncanny knack of sniffing out the best eating spots in town and the dinner company is always great fun. The Harrogate Gift show is always a fave of mine- we always make a beeline for Betty’s Tea Rooms after we have finished setting up the stand.
Tell us a fun fact!
My beach bat and ball record is 368.
What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not at work?
When I am not chasing after two pre-schoolers I love a get together with old friends, a good bottle of New Zealand Sauv Blanc and a massive chunk of Brie in the afternoon sunshine.
