With Mother’s Day this Sunday, it’s the perfect time to celebrate motherhood and all of the amazing women in our lives! We want to share three of our puzzles which capture the essence of motherhood, in heartwarming scenes that are sure to tug at anyone’s heartstrings.

Merry Midwives is a touching scene in the heart of the village, beautifully painted by Fiona Osbaldstone. Two midwives cycle through the village, waving at new mum Carrie as they go.

Set in the 1950s, the puzzle depicts the two midwives wearing traditional uniforms, and cycling on bikes to make house calls – a birthing procedure far more common back in the 50s than in the 21st century!

It’s a lovely village scene, with children playing in the streets on a beautiful summer day. However, this means it’s unlikely a big hospital is anywhere nearby! 

This lovely 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle touches on the early phases of motherhood, and is surely a nostalgic reminder for many of our readers! 

Botanical Blooms: A Serene Escape into Nature

It's a weekend getaway to the local cake parlour with Grandma leading the way. In Grandma's Treat, Tony Ryan paints a picture-perfect scene of sugary delights and infectious laughter. Clara and Thea, along with their entire family, are immersed in a world of delicious treats – from mouthwatering cakes to colourful cupcakes and sweet muffins.

Alongside being a showcase for some delectable delights, this jigsaw gives a nudge to remember that whole generation of mums that can often be forgotten on Mother’s Day – Grandmothers!
