Our Sweet Memories collection is BACK!

These popular jigsaw puzzles have been designed by Robert Opie and are jam packed with nostalgia. These jigsaws are some of our bestselling puzzles and have been in our range for many years. We have four different decades of sweets and chocolates to pick from, from the 1950s through to the 1980s.

Years ago, Robert Opie began to record the history of brands and products that surround us in daily life. His collection can now be viewed at The Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising in London. You can find the rest of our jigsaw puzzles designed by him here

Long-term fans may recognise our Sweet Memories collection as they used to be sold in collectable tins. These were a fun addition to any dissectologist’s bookshelf, but we decided to change to our sustainable cardboard gift box, which are still very aesthetic. These new boxes are now made in the UK, whereas the tins used to be made overseas in the Far East. The manufacturing process didn’t align with our sustainability commitments and we wanted to source locally, so we moved production closer to home, with the added bonus of reducing our carbon footprint.

You can read more about our commitment to the environment here.

We have made some positive changes to our processes, so you can be sure you’re getting the same great puzzles and know they are kinder to the environment. Not only does the boxes have a fresh new look, but we also use 100% recycled puzzle board and FSC paper. We’ve used biodegradable clear labels to secure the lid instead of shrink wrap, reducing our plastic waste.

We use vegetable-based inks too. The gloss coating on the box gives extra protection and the puzzle pieces are stored in a plastic bag that can be recycled by most councils. Because the box is slightly smaller than our previous designs, we need less room to transport our products which reduces our carbon footprint even further, and means you can store your puzzles more easily at home.
